Merry Christmas to all!

December 25, 2010

Here’s wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season!

Chicago Marathon Soundtrack

October 7, 2010

Well, there won’t be any more posts about runs as the Marathon is this Sunday.

So, instead of a couple final posts about short runs that, at this point, aren’t really a big deal, I decided I’d list out the songs that are going to be on my iPod come Sunday.

During my training process, I’ve had lots of different songs on my iPod to try to help motivate me.  These are the ones that “felt” the best while I was training and thus made the cut.

I aimed for roughly six hours of music as my goal in the Marathon is simply to finish and you’re given 6.5 hours from the time the gun goes off to get over the finish line and still be considered an “Official Finisher”.

I trimmed about 10 songs off the list as the time was close to seven hours by the time I was done.  As is, it’s roughly 6.2 hours.  Oh well, hopefully I won’t hear any repeats outside my “Power Song”.  hehe

I’ll post about the race some time next week after I get back from Chicago.

p.s.  A “Power Song” for an iPod is a song that you can trigger at any time during the run by pressing a button.  It’s meant to pump you up and get you moving when you’re lagging.  Here’s mine for Sunday:

~giggle~  God I love that song!  Always makes me smile, which is why I chose it.
